Moving Forward to the Future

Tag Systems has recently undergone a forward-thinking facelift. Previously known as Tag Guard this leading security equipment company has re-imaged their brand and moved forward into the future. This follows direct feedback from customers and clients and shows Tag Systems to be a progressive company with their finger firmly on the pulse.

The new name and logo has been created to show much clearer links between the brand and the wireless security systems offered. Tag Systems goes much further than its competitors and offers a wide range of comprehensive and flexible remote and onsite fully maintained security systems and when and if required, a fast and effective local response service for clients. The new branding encompasses this more diverse level of service and ensures customers understand at a glance that this is far more than just a one dimensional security service.

Wireless Excellenc

You cannot be onsite 24/7 and so it is important to have good security measures in place for those times you are absent. However it will not always be practical or cost-effective to install expensive wired alarms, manned patrols or CCTV systems on many sites. In these cases you should consider wireless security solutions.

Wireless security options from TAG Systems are highly recommended as they offer an affordable and effective alternative. Wireless security systems are more flexible and can be tailor-made to meet your needs. A huge range of businesses and landlords can benefit from the secure wireless options available. Just some of the benefits of TAG wireless security include:

- All security systems meet industry and British Safety Standards.

- Flexible security options to cover different building sites, compounds, buildings and plots.

- Protection for valuable machinery including diggers, cranes and bulldozers.

- Protection for valuable materials including building supplies, metal supplies, concrete stores and more.

- Remote protection for multiple buildings and plots up to 1km apart.

- 24/7, 365 days a year monitoring in a remote manned control centre.

- Fast acting response to triggered alarms.

- Mobile security patrols in hotspot areas to provide visible deterrents and spot early signs of unauthorised access.

- Standalone systems that can operate without fixed telephone lines or mains power.

SpeedyHire Contract Tag-Guard for Their Equipment Security

With theft constantly on the increase, especially when it comes to equipment that is left unguarded, having the right security system in place can make all the difference. Tag-Guard is happy to announce an exciting venture where they have been contracted by SpeedyHire offering their equipment and services.

Dr Kitchin Technical Director for Tag Guard said 'This represents an exciting opportunity to provide the TagGuard quality of equipment and services much appreciated by our existing clients, to customer's using the SpeedyHire rental services. Total service and one stop for security services and equipment supply has been the goal for TagGuard for the last 4 years.'

Plant Equipment Theft on the Rise

During 2011, there was approximately £800 million worth of theft in the construction industry alone. This amount is based on the replacement of machinery, hiring machinery and the increase of insurance. Large equipment such as compressors, cranes and excavators were among those items stolen during the year.

SpeedyHire Rental Services have taken the initiative to ensure that all equipment rented out will be protected using the Tag-Guard wireless security system.

Wireless Security Systems by Tag-Guard

All the systems developed by Tag-Guard are designed and developed within the UK. They are a cost saving opportunity helping companies by reducing the risk of theft on site. These systems can protect areas up to one kilometre apart integrating both alarm and camera to ensure an overall security solution.

The advantage to the systems is that they are free standing which means they do not rely on mains power, while they still conform to the necessary British Standards and Codes of Practice.

Can These Systems Save Companies Money?

The question is whether the systems can help companies such as SpeedyHire Rental Services save money in the long run. When relying on manned security even when combining with CCTV cameras, there are no guarantees that thieves will not get through.

The cost to companies where theft is taking place is affecting their expenses dramatically. These costs include the replacement of the equipment, hiring new equipment while waiting for the replacements and bearing the cost of an increased insurance premium.

Tag-Guard offer wireless security systems which cover safety, fire and security for buildings, construction sites, standalone equipment, vehicles and so much more. These flexible systems are innovative, ensuring they offer a higher level of security than having a human security guard at the door.

About Tag-Guard

Tag-Guard have been designing and developing wireless security systems within the UK since 1996 and have spent the past four years concentrating on ways these systems can assist businesses in saving money by reducing the risk of theft.

With offices throughout the UK, Tag-Guard offer a nationwide service to a number of companies including National Grid and now with the new contract in place will be offering their services to SpeedyHire.

Tag Guard: Protecting Copper and Plantagenet’s Alike

Tag Guard are the leading UK Company in the design, manufacture and supply of wire free security systems that have proved popular in building site security up and down the country. The company's unique product list has allowed it to become the market leader throughout Europe for the past 15 years and they are able to offer their clients a level of service and specialist knowledge that only experience can bring.

As well as offering individual systems, Tag Guard offer integrated building site security systems to their customers, which provide a level of care that allows them the security of a high level installation at a fraction of the cost of hard wired systems. These installations come with integrated 24 hour monitoring at Tag Guards own secure operating centre, making them a great choice for temporary construction sites. One of the recent activities that has been reported around the UK is copper theft and this is where this temporary solution can come into its own. These systems can be wired up to provide temporary cover for premises that will be left unattended for a period of time.

Security Fit for a King

One such use of these temporary building site security solutions was found by property owner William Davis Ltd., when the bones of the last Plantagenet, Richard III were found, recently, in Leicester. Shortly after the find was made, Tag Guard had been called in to set up their stand-alone TagDetector to protect this priceless archaeological dig from unwanted visitors. With the bones now confirmed to be those of the 15th century king, the quick set up of Tag Guard's wireless security system proved vital in protecting this important find.

As well as cameras, there are other methods of building site security the customer can use to protect themselves against copper thieves, among others. These products include trip alarms and movement sensors, which immediately set off an alarm back at the Tag Guard control room. As well as this, access systems, padlocks and GPS tracking are also available, so the customer can keep track of different types of asset.

About Tag Guard

Tag Guard are the market leader in integrated wireless security systems and have been strengthening this position since their establishment in 1996. All of their products are designed and developed in the UK and have proved more and more popular throughout the country and in key European markets too. As all their building site security systems come with around the clock monitoring from their secure control room, Tag Guard are pleased to be able to offer a high level of customer service that their customers have come to expect.
